India-South Africa five-match T20Is will be played across Delhi, Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot and Bengaluru. The last time Indian cricket team played an international T20 series was against Sri Lanka which they had easily won 3-0.
Just a few months back, India had toured South Africa for a Test and ODI series. It was during this tour when Virat had shocked the cricket fraternity by announcing his decision to step down as team India’s Test captain. Virat stepped down as India’s T20 captain last year after which BCCI replaced him with Rohit Sharma as India’s ODI skipper. Rohit now leads the national team across formats.
