Delhi Jal Board has withdrawn its decision to give 2 hours leave every day to Muslim employees on the occasion of Ramzan. The decision was withdrawn by the Delhi Jal Bord a day after the circular was issued. The circular was issued by the Delhi Jal Board on 4 April. It was said in the circular that Muslim employees of Delhi Jal Board can take short leave of 2 hours in a day on Ramzan. But exactly 1 day later, on 5 April, by issuing a new circular, the Delhi Jal Board confirmed the withdrawal of the decision.
According to the new circular, the decision is being implemented with immediate effect. The circular of April 4 was getting a lot of response. There were many reactions on social media regarding this decision. Trolling the Delhi government on social media, accused of playing the Muslim card towards one religion. Some people raised the question that along with Ramzan, there is also a festival of Navratri. To please only one section, the Delhi government is doing the politics of religion by issuing such a circular.
Delhi Jal Board – A day later a new circular was issued
The Delhi Jal Board withdrew the decision just a day after receiving different reactions from the people. The circular has been issued by Virendra Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Delhi Jal Board. It has been told in the circular that on Ramzan issued on 4 April, the decision of short leave i.e. 2 hours leave in a day to Muslim employees is withdrawn with immediate effect.
