There may be a crisis of coal shortage in Punjab, after reaching Delhi, Power Minister Harbhajan made this demand

There is a shortage of coal in Punjab and in view of this, State Power Minister Harbhajan Singh reached Delhi to meet Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi. Harbhajan Singh has urged the central government to make available coal in the required quantity during the paddy season.

According to the report of the English newspaper The Tribune, in a meeting with Prahlad Joshi, Harbhajan Singh has demanded that Punjab should get 19 to 20 rakes of coal every day till June 10. Harbhajan Singh says that doing this will help in building up the stock of col in Punjab. Apart from this, Harbhajan Singh also demanded 50 lakh metric tonnes more coal in view of the high demand for electricity during the paddy season.

Recently, the central government had made it clear that the state governments should not demand more col. The central government had said that if there is a shortage of coal in your state, then you should buy col from Call India Limited Company.

This issue surfaced from the first few days

In Punjab, the issue of shortage of col has arisen for the last few days. Since Punjab is the largest producer of paddy, there is a huge increase in electricity consumption during that period. In such a situation, a huge power crisis could have arisen in front of Punjab. In view of this danger, the government of Aam Aadmi Party has started its preparations.
