Azam Khan Bail: Former UP minister and senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court. The court has granted bail to Khan in the case of wrongly transferring the Waqf Board’s property to his university. This decision has been given by the Single Bench of Justice Rahul Chaturvedi. However, despite getting bail, Azam Khan will not be able to be released from jail.
Azam Khan will not be able to come out of jail due to the registration of a new case 3 days ago. A case was registered against Azam Khan in Rampur 3 days ago for getting recognition of 3 schools with the help of fake documents. The warrant for this case has also been included in Sitapur Jail.
In August 2019, journalist Allama Jamir Naqvi filed a case in Lucknow in the case of getting Waqf Board land wrongly in his favor. Later this case was transferred to Azim Nagar police station in Rampur.
So far 88 cases have been registered against Azam Khan. In 86 of these cases, he had already got bail from different courts. Including today’s case, Azam Khan has been granted bail in 87 cases.
While in jail, Azam Khan, who was elected MLA from Rampur in UP, has been in jail since February 2020. Recently, the Supreme Court made a strong comment on Azam Khan’s bail pending the order in the Allahabad High Court for 5 months. A bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and BI Gavai adjourned the hearing to May 11 and said that we want to wait for the High Court’s order. Will order if necessary. Now the High Court has granted bail to Azam Khan a day before the hearing in the Supreme Court.
