Professor Ratan Lal Bail

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (Central) Siddharth Malik has said in the bail order to Professor Ratanlal that Indian civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. The civilization of this country has been generous to those who believe in all religions. In this country with a population of more than 130 crores, everyone has their own thinking. Hurting the sentiments of one does not mean that the sentiments of the entire community have been hurt. If there is any complaint about this, then it also needs to be looked at in a holistic manner.

The CMM also said in its order that I myself am a believer of Hinduism and in my view this post is an unnecessary comment made on an unpleasant and controversial subject. This post may be embarrassing in the eyes of others. But he may not consider it as hatred for the community. Everyone can have their own opinion.

There is no doubt that in view of the seriousness of the people, the accused made unnecessary posts. Although this post is condemnable, yet it cannot be said to spread hatred among communities. Because the police have to maintain peace, their action is understandable, but there are high standards for this court to order police custody. Therefore, the court does not feel that there is a need to send the accused to jail. The accused is granted bail. Along with this, the accused is also instructed not to post any further social media regarding this controversial subject / avoid giving interviews in the media.
