New Delhi: With the likelihood of the launch of the Pixel Watch becoming stronger at the upcoming Google I/O event, more details of the first smartwatch from Google have emerged and they suggest that the device will come with a cellular connectivity option. However, the eSIM connectivity feature is likely to be restricted to select markets only. It should be noted that the cellular connectivity feature is seen in premium smartwatches and if it is available in the Pixel Watch, it will come at a price.

According to other new leaks and rumours, the Pixel Watch will sport a 300mAh battery. The tech giant has reportedly got an official go-ahead for the Pixel Watch name after filing for its trademark last week.

Google had also added “Watches” section to the Google Store, according to a report by 9to5Google and that further cemented the possibility of the release of the Pixel Watch. To recall, “Rohan” will be the first Google-branded smartwatch and the latest render is similar to the ones we have seen earlier from leakster John Prosser posted on his channel Front Page Tech.

Meanwhile, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai teased Android and hardware announcements for the upcoming Google I/O event that is slated to be held in May and will likely see the launch of Google Pixel 6a and Pixel Watch.
